This year’s UK Concrete Show (UKCS) is set to take place next week on the 15th and 16th of March 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham – and we’re really looking forward to attending and exhibiting our range of screeding machinery.

As the leading annual trade show for our sector in the UK, the UK Concrete Show is the place to be for catching up with customers past and present, networking with suppliers, partners, and old friends, and staying informed about the technologies and trends shaping the industry.

Why Attend The UK Concrete Show?

It’s not always easy for SME business owners to take time out of a busy schedule to attend an event, especially with the construction industry being as hectic as it is right now. But if you only attend one trade show this year, the UK Concrete Show is the one worth making an exception for.

Why? Because the UK Concrete Show is the only trade event dedicated exclusively to concrete and screeds. Unlike general, multi-trade construction shows, in which you have to share space with roofers, electricians, plumbers, carpenters etc, all the exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees at the UKCS are concrete, screed, and plastering professionals.

This makes the show more directly relevant and valuable for business owners and contractors in the concrete installation, screeding, dry lining, plastering and rendering, and specialist plant hire sectors.

You’ll have the opportunity to get up to speed with the latest plant and equipment, materials, and support services, as well as the chance to share best practices, efficiency tips, and cost-saving strategies with fellow concrete professionals. And of course, let’s not underestimate the importance of the UKCS for meeting existing suppliers and finding new ones.

If the pandemic taught us anything, it’s that face-to-face discussions are often the best discussions, and at a trade show, you can often forge valuable new supply chain relationships over a couple of days that could take months of back-and-forth emails and Zoom calls to figure out.

Last year’s show in 2022, which happened to be the 10th anniversary of the UKCS, turned out to be the best attended in its history and was the number-one event of its kind in Europe for that year. As the first in-person UK concrete event since 2019, the atmosphere at the show was electric, with everyone making full use of the opportunity to network and build connections in person, after several years of virtual events and remote networking.

What To Expect At The 2023 Show

This year’s UK Concrete Show organisers are hoping to build on the success of 2022 with a full and exciting list of exhibitors, a packed exhibition space, a busy schedule of events, and a special focus on sustainability in the construction trade. The 2023 UK concrete show exhibitors’ roster includes floor treatment specialists, equipment and parts providers, plant manufacturers, health and safety consultants, surveying specialists, grouting businesses, groundwork contractors, and specialist software and service providers – among many others. You can see the full list of UK exhibitors here.
